Aubergine Faeries
The Aubergine Faeries bring delight wherever they go. Friendly and approachable, creative and beautiful, they add sparkle, always! They have performed in New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Avalon Fairy Festivals. Disguised as magnificent belly dancers, they have entertained at galas, private parties, restaurants, the Smithsonian and even on television.
Catch us at a festival, or we can travel to you! Reduced rates for senior centers. We have dances from across the Middle East, the lands of the Djinn, Peri and Deniz kızı, (Genies, Fairies and Mermaids), as well as completely *original* dances from the fairylands within our own hearts.
In the Spring of 2013 we are performing a multicultural saga of story, song and dance for the Spoutwood May Day Fairie Festival May 4th and 5th, and for the Maryland Faerie Festival May 11-12, 2013.
We will run a smaller show for the New York Faerie Festival, and include strolling entertainment there and at the Avalon Faerie Festival in West Virginia.
Aubergine hopes to return to the world's biggest outdoor arts festival, Artscape, in July.
Plans are in the works for the Most Fun Ever party, the Team Wench Fantasy Ball on October 26, 2013, a charity event supporting the fight against MS.
We had a blast providing fae support for the Goblin Queen at Team Wench's Goblins and Gears Fantasy Ball the last two Octobers! We play the faeries that support the Goblin Queen in her mischief (and we dance!). Come to see us, and support research against MS at the same time. Awesome costumes highly encouraged.
